The Complete Biblical Library: The New Testament, Volume One: Harmony of the Gospels
Published in Hardcover by Gospel Pub House (June, 1991)
Author: Ralph W. Harris
Average review score:

Great Resource for Indepth Study
Part of a multi-volume set. Would recommend the whole set to anyone embarking on serious study of scripture. Excellent way to see the variations in the different families of ancient texts. The Harmony of the Gospels is a valuable resource. The commentary is both scholarly and practical, without denominational bias. At one point in time World Library Press was working on an Old Testament version as well.

A gathering of all Bible study tools in a single source
The Complete Biblical Library combines every type ofconventional Bible study tool into a single source. The New Testamentset is 17 volumes, consisting of 9 Study Bibles (containing 70 English translations, verse-by-verse commentary, and a 5-line Greek Interlinear; 6 Greek-English Dictionaries (containing a concordance and word study on all 5457 Greek words); an Index/Greek Grammar volume and a Harmony of the Gospels. The 22 volume Old Testament set consists of 15 Study Bibles and 7 Hebrew-English Dictionaries. Published by World Library Press, Inc., Springfield, Missouri.

Review of Elemental Harmony by Eric S. Dye
Elemental Harmony - Book Review by Eric S. Dye, Lit. Agent
Reviewer: Eric S. Dye from Creston, Canada and Mansfield, OH
Elemental Harmony, a book written by Roberta (Rashea) Healey is a wonderfully delightful book that encompasses adventure, fantasy, enlightenment and a bond between two twin brothers that is special. Being a twin myself, I was especially pleased with Roberta's insight into the psychic bond of twins.

This book takes twists and turns that are not predictable and its quick pace keeps the reader on his/her toes. The characters of the book are fresh and imaginative, the story line is beautifully done, and the book is well worth reading. You will want to keep this book around for re-reading.

I rate this book 5 stars and would highly recommend it to all who ask. Much thought has gone into this book and you will find the read not only entertaining, but also different, thoughtful and interesting. You will not be disappointed - guaranteed - and you will have a sense of well-being when you finish this remarkable book.

For the Sake of Peace: Seven Paths to Global Harmony
Published in Paperback by Middleway Press (01 April, 2002)
Authors: Daisake Ikeda, Daisaku Ikeda, and Glenn D. Paige
Average review score:

Practical Path to Peace
Despite your views of Soka Gakkai Internation and their religious doctrine, you will discover that their president and spiritual leader, Daisaku Ikeda, is well-grounded in the real world. You will find much value in this book. A clear, informative, well-written, practical guide for creating world peace. It may not be the final word on this issue, but you will likely find the argument compelling and important.

What we need today
Daisaku Ikeda outlines steps towards a peaceful planet.

Quoting philosophers, historians, heroes, he sets out a guide to making peace possible. "If you want peace, prepare for peace."

In this time of war, war and more war, to know there are people actively working towards a peaceful planet and future is very encouraging. Ikeda explains how we each have to start with ourselves, our family, our community. Through dialogue, and a commitment to truly desire peace.

For those who believe we do not have to go to war to make a peaceful world.

The Gardener's Book of Color: Creating Contrasts, Harmonies, and Multicolor Themes in Your Garden
Published in Hardcover by Reader's Digest Adult (May, 1996)
Author: Andrew Lawson
Average review score:

Stunning
This is one of my all time favorite books, I return to it time and again for ideas, ispiration and information. Andrew Lawson has written the definitive book on using color in the garden, there are wonderful examples of single color gardens, as well as using contrasting and co-ordinating colors with plants. He gives great suggestions for plants to use. The photographs in this book, taken by Lawson himself are superb. Every gardener will get something from this brilliant book.

new ways to look at color
Lawson does a better job of presenting and especially operationalizing color blending than any of ten books I looked at. He also consistently identifies what is in the glorious pictures. I am amazed by how many authors do not do this. It is an outstanding book for a beginner, that's me, to make a garden look like a pro did it, and for an experienced gardener to gain new perspectives and want to plant even more.

Group Harmony: Behind the Rhythm & the Blues
Published in Paperback by Hamilton Printing Co (April, 1996)
Author: Todd R. Baptista
Average review score:

A quinessential treatise of the genre
Informative, heartrending, and honest; I laughed, I cried, and now I understand. Finally, these cultural pioneers were afforded a forum to tell their own stories. Bravo, Mr. Baptista!! I want more!!!

Very informative, educational, and detailed.
I learned much about the vocal groups as well as the music of the 1950s. It was disappointing to learn that many talented performers were not given proper credit and royalties for their songs in those days. It was very encouraging, however, to see that for most of the groups, it was the music that motivated them, rather than the money. I learned to love and appreciate their music. Not only did I read and discover new groups with whom I have been previously unfamiliar (i.e. the Bop Chords), but I have discovered extensive discographies of groups I already knew of, such as the Spaniels, El Dorados, and the Silhouettes.

Harmony and Conflict in the Living World
Published in Hardcover by Univ of Oklahoma Pr (Trd) (June, 2000)
Authors: Alexander F. Skutch and Dana Gardner
Average review score:

Optimism via science and philosophy
This is a fine example of intelligent but accessible writing in which science, philosophy and theory combine to inspire hope. Dr. Skutch has studied aggression and behavior of avian species, and he has witnessed a great deal of destruction in Meso-America. Amazingly, he is able to use his experience to illustrate a path for harmony in contemporary society. I may not agree with every detail, but his overall concepts and optimistic viewpoint are compelling and worthy of serious study by anyone concerned with our planet's future.

Scholarly, involving, insightful, informative analysis.
Dana Gardner illustrates this survey by ornithologist Skutch, who here provides a general science guide arguing that principles of increasing harmony drive the living world. From biological concepts of how evolution proceeds despite paradoxes to issues of preserving biodiversity and understanding compatibility, Harmony And Conflict In The Living World provides a scholarly, involving analysis of concepts of nature, exploitation and conflict.

Finding personal peace and inner strength
We can all see Chaos in our lives. It is how we deal with it that affects how we feel deep down and how others perceive us. With Cindy Lowy's help and guidance in Harmony and Me we can begin to see how we need to step back, take a deep breath and look inward. Harmony is there for all us - Cindy has found it and wants to share it with the rest of us through Harmony and Me. With "Harmony's Healing Verse", "Pearls of Wisdom" and "Prayers" Cindy provides us with simple messages that can help us gather strength, wisdom and an inner calm. Cindy's closing chapter "Row Your Boat Gently" struck a personal chord with me. If we can learn to float along, the calm with the waves, we will make it to shore. We can then take this peace and inner strength and share it with others. You will want to share this book with all of your friends and family.

When I first began "Harmony and Me", I couldn't put the book down, as Cindy's heartfelt story captured and intrigued me. Her journey to a spiritual understanding of herself and the many insights she shares in this book are both uplifting and inspirational. "Harmony and Me" will appeal to anyone wishing for spiritual enlightenment and encouragement in their daily life. It is very easy to recommend this book as it is filled with many treasures for the heart, mind and soul.
